My Exciting New Normal: Getting back to life after the lockdown
Finding My New Normal:
“My exciting new normal” is what I am calling getting back to life after the pandemic lockdown.
It has been a year of learning, rediscovering, purging, dreaming, pain, sorrow, and so much more. I was one of the lucky ones. I could continue to work from home and have my groceries delivered to my doorstep every week.
I lost some special people in my life, and I saw the suffering of so many others. I felt guilty, sad, and helpless. Anxiety and depression took over my life.
Together in Lockdown:
During the pandemic lockdown, I was fortunate to have a partner, my husband Roger, who had a good job, and together, we continued to live our lives, inside our home, in the company of each other and our two beautiful kitties, Tabitha and Shadow. We all grew closer together as time went by, and we were inseparable. We became each others’ support system, and little by little, we got stronger together. One thing was certain—we never gave up hope.
Despite all of this, I found time to analyze what I really wanted my life to be. I have taught ballet classes for many years, and I have also had my Interior Design business for the last ten years. I have had to divide my time between my two jobs. Although I have been successful at both, I haven’t felt fully accomplished—something has been missing. I need to make changes in my life. I want to be more fulfilled—who doesn’t?!
My Exciting New Normal:
After much thought, consideration, and conversation with my husband, I have decided to focus primarily on my Interior Design Business. I have also started getting involved in the affiliate market—I feel it is the perfect opportunity to combine my love for Interior Design with shopping, which is something I have a lot of fun doing! I found my exciting new normal!

Getting Back to Life:
This is my chance to try something new in my life. It is never too late to start over. I reset, refocus, and step into new possibilities. I might fail, but I also might succeed, and that is what the journey is all about! I am a bit nervous about what the outcome could be. But when one really dreams of new adventures, it is ok to follow them. There is nothing to lose, only to gain, because either way, my life will change, and I will be a better, stronger, and more knowledgeable person.
